Formed in 2000. They used the computer early on, and achieved a high level of fusion between their handcrafted band sound, which passed through US alternative and Lo-Fi, and precise and melodic acoustronica elements. Their fresh and innovative sound showed a new horizon of post-rock.
They released their first album "the dance we do" in 2004. It was an unusually long-selling instrumental rock album, and influenced Ichiro Yamaguchi of Sakanaction. In 2005, member Yoshihiro Tsuchie also started his solo project SKREW KID, and he has released three albums so far. In 2008, they released their second album "Finesse", which boldly incorporated dance music.
They have performed with domestic and international artists such as toe, 9dw, mono, Dry&Heavy, Kuchiroro, Tokyo Zawinul Bach, Buffalo Daughter, Pole, Akufen, and Vladislav Delay.
Since then, other than a limited cassette release of the best of their predecessor band Helicopter in 2018, there has been no significant activity, but in the midst of the pandemic of 2021, they suddenly released their third album "lull", their first in 13 years.
2000年結成。早くからPCを導入し、USオルタナ～Lo-Fiを通過した手作り感覚溢れるバンドサウンドに加え、精緻でメロディアスな音響的要素との融合を高次元で獲得。瑞々しく斬新なサウンドはポストロックの新たな地平を感じさせた。2004年に1stアルバム「the dance we do」をリリース。インスト作品としては異例のロングセールスを記録し、サカナクションの山口一郎にも影響を与えた。2005年よりメンバー土江によるソロプロジェクトSKREW KIDも始動し、これまでに3枚のアルバムをリリース。2008年にはダンスミュージックを大胆に取り入れた音楽性へシフトした2ndアルバム「Finesse」を発表。これまでにtoe、9dw、mono、Dry&Heavy、□□□、東京ザヴィヌルバッハ、Buffalo Daughter、Pole、Akufen、Vladislav Delayなど国内外のアーティストと共演。以後、2018年に前身バンドHelicopterのベスト盤をカセットテープで限定リリースする他は表立った活動はなく、2021年パンデミックの中、突如13年ぶりの3rdアルバム「lull」をリリース。
